Chikurubi Maximum Prison Visit, Mental Health and Donations | Harare August, 2022

A community forgotten by many “the people in prison”. On the 16^th of August 2022, we visited Chikurubi female prison to spend a day with the women who stay there. It was all fun and dance as we got to interact with our mothers, sisters and daughters who are imprisoned and staying at Chikurubi. Very few people get to remember these people and the community neglects them, thus leading to more mental health problems. We shared with them about mental health and we got time to exercise and dance with them. Our objective is to bring joy and smiles to people and we did it at Chikurubi female prison. Donations of multi-vitamins for adults and children and sanitary pads were handed out to the prison authorities so that they could help those in prison.
