To honour womanhood, AHF in partnership with Simuka Arise Initiative celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday, 12th March 2022 at Batanai Mall. The event was attended by people with more female participants than males. Agatha Chiseya an independent candidate who contested for the 2022 by-election was the guest speaker. She shared her struggles as a female politician and how she overcame and still overcoming them. The main theme of the day was “breaking bias” and all the talks evolved around that theme. Francisca Chatira from AHF spread awareness on mental health issues, shedding more light on what it really is and how to deal with it.  The program winded up by open discussion and active participation from the audience which was answered and discussed by the resource persons.
